Is LifeLock Worth the Money? - A LifeLock Review & Discount

LifeLock Reviews

What Is LifeLock?

LifeLock, Inc. is an identity theft protection company based in Tempe Arizona. The company was founded in 2005 with the goal of protecting the identities of their members.

They are an accredited BBB business with a rating of B. Read our LifeLock review to find out more about how they can help you keep your identity safe.

About a year ago I was notified by my mortgage holder that a large security breach had occurred. Over a million records with large amounts of personal information had been stolen. Mine was included in the list. Needless to say I was worried.

At this point my info was out there. I had seen a LifeLock on TV and I figured I could use all the help I could get. Trying to keep track of every aspect of your identity is actually quite difficult. Would you know if someone tried to open a credit card in your name on the other side of the country? Sometimes the identity thief is caught and other times they aren't.

So Is LifeLock Worth the Price?

Just about two months after signing up for the service I received a threat notification. Someone had applied for a credit card with my person information. After receiving the notification I called LifeLock to see how to best handle the situation. With their help I was able to quickly stop the application. Since then I haven't had any other suspicious activity thankfully.

Without LifeLock's identity protection services it's hard to say how things would have turned out. The credit card company may have performed some further checking and found out the application was a fraud. In all honestly though I bet it would have went through.

That means I would have found out either by checking by credit report or when the bill went overdue. Either way in that amount of time the scammer could have been running up charges for several months, more than enough time to max out the card and move on to the next victim.

In my case LifeLock save me a great deal of time, money, and frustration. I do believe their services are well worth the price.
